- Chair Vidas moved to approve June 2026 minutes Supervisor Halbleib seconded, motion carried.
- Chris read the treasurer’s report which was then put in the file.
- Dumpster Monitor’s report: Nothing to report.
- Equipment and Road report: The storm damage from all the rain was fixed, turn-around work still needs to be done as well as gravel coming. Twisted Oak will be in to do brush work. The mower needs a new barring, Chair Vidas moved to approve the purchase for the barring, which will cost $389 + $20 for shipping. Supervisor Townsley seconded, motion carried.
- Building permit update: No new permits were issued.
- First public comment: There were comments and concerns about Roberts Rules of Order and how we conduct meetings and taking minutes. One person would like to see the minutes for our special meeting held in November/December stand and another wants them to be corrected.
- Viola Sportsman’s club: Supervisor Townsley moved to approve the building permit for a Gazebo on the property at S6465 W River Road. All paperwork is in and approved by County, payment has been made. Chair Vidas seconded, passed.
- Town Announcements: There were none.
- Minutes from Special Meeting in November 2025: Chair Vidas moved that the minutes be removed from the website and in the future the clerk leaves the names of employees out of the minutes. Supervisor Halbleib seconded, motion carried.
- Room Rental Tax: Clerk Engh investigated the process for having rental units in our Town charge a room tax that we as a town would benefit from. It is a lengthy process, so more research needs to be done.
- July 6th meeting updates: This is an ongoing process. All turn arounds were approved by landowners. Signage and culvert markers still need to be ordered. There will be a meeting with Phil to work out some questions and details on July 27th, at 5pm. Supervisor Halbleib also gave a fire board association report at this time.
- Fire Association Invoice: No new was issued.
- Bridge repair update: Lyster road bridge: The LSSIP grant awards will be out by the end of July. Noting is being done until we know if we receive one.
- WI DOR Innovation grant: There will be a second period to apply for the grant, Clerk Engh will look into the process.
- Supervisor Halbleib presented the board with Google Workspace information and how it would work well with going to .gov emails. We will continue to investigate this, and Supervisor Halbleib will talk to Scott Bernadette, our internet person.
- CPC updates: Carrie said they will meet on August 3rd and continue to incorporate the survey results into the plan update. Meeting will be from 6:30. Everything is going right along.
- Second period for public comment: There were reminders that Google Workspace is much different than the website. With Robert’s Rules of Order there should be confidentiality with the meeting minutes. No personal information is given out. Minutes are good and detailed but don’t really need to have all that information. It was mentioned that a redaction could be done for the November minutes.
- Chair Vidas moved that we approve paying the monthly bills for July 2026 of $16,439.14, Supervisor Townsley seconded. All in favor, motion carried.
- Future agenda items: Rural Mutal insurance updates, Room tax, CPC updates, .gov emails, , Google drive, County parameters, State land trust fund, redaction of minutes from special meeting in Nov., meeting updates from Phil’s meeting.
- Next meeting date is August 10th at 6:30pm and special road meeting on July 27th at 5pm.
- Meeting was moved to adjourn by Chair Vidas, at 8:06 pm, Supervisor Halbleib, seconded all in favor motion carried.
Respectfully submitted,
