Liberty Town Hall
Board members present: Chair Orlin Engh, Supervisor Bill Townsley, Treasurer Chris Abrahamson, Clerk Sharon Engh, Supervisor Jason Vidas
- The meeting was called to order by Chair Engh at 6:00 pm
- The Fire charge ordinance was discussed. We decided to wait until November because we want to be uniform with the other municipalities with how to handle the charges if the property owners don’t pay. We will ask that it be put on the agenda for the fire board meeting. The wording on the current ordinance will be updated for the November meeting.
- The county has a nuisance and junk ordinance as well. We will be comparing the two and seeing what wording needs to be changed to be in sync with ours.
- Chair Engh moved to adjourn at 6:30, Supervisor Townsley second passed.

Chris and Allen have been putting up new fire signs and are almost done. Orlin reported that there have been some obstacles on the right aways. A trailer with brush on Old 56, which should be moved by now. Then there are tires on the right of way as well that should also be moved right away. Mike Mueller’s property, and he said he would have them moved by the weekend.

Chris also mentioned that we will be sending out a newsletter again this year and will need to have it done and ready to send it in on November 1st. Anyone who needed to put something in it, please have it to Chris before then.

We will have it finalized for November. The building permit resolution NO. 01-2024 was read in its entirety. Chair Engh moved that we have Nikki Swayne go ahead and deliver the Notice of Building Code Violations and demand for compliance letter and if all is taken care of by Oct.31, 2025 then the board will still grant the variance for the cabin to remain where it is. Supervisor Townsley seconded, all in favor, motion carried.
