Town of Liberty Boad Meeting
Liberty Town Shed
September 8, 2025
6:30 PM
- Meeting was called to order by Chair Engh at 6:30pm
- Supervisor Townsley moved to approve the August minutes with said corrections. Supervisor Vidas seconded, motion carried.
- Treasurer’s Report: Chris went over his report, and it is on file.
- Dumpster Monitor’s report: Paul said he ordered 2 40-yard dumpsters for dump day on the 11th of Oct.
- Equipment and Road report: All equipment is in working order. Mowing continues and no damage repair to roads needed, only improvements were needed.
- Building permit update; One permit was granted to Jerry Schoneman on Hwy 56 for his camper to sit on a concrete pad. All hoops were gone through and covered.
- First public comment: Chris was thanked for letting everyone know about the zoning committee meeting the county had.
- Town Announcements: The painting is done on the Town Hall. The ramp and deck are in progress, hence the meeting at the Town Shed. The fire signs are still a work in progress. The zoning meeting the county had been well done with a lot of good information.
- County Updates from Wade Lawler: The zoning meeting will be on the website for anyone who missed it. He let us know that they are trying to preserve farmland through a Farmland Preservation zoning. There is a Housing Task Force study on the website as well that can be looked at. The budgeting process has begun for 2026, and money is very tight. The Landfill expansion is still in DNR review and there is no funding from either side for the damn decommissioning process.
