ADOPTION OF PUBLIC PARTICIPATION PLAN FOR THE TOWN OF LIBERTY
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE
WHEREAS, the Town of Liberty is updating the Comprehensive Plan adopted in 2009; and
WHEREAS, Section 66.1001(4)(a) of Wisconsin Statues requires the governing body of the local
government unit to adopt written procedures designed to foster public participation, including
open discussions, communication programs, information services, and public meetings for
which advance notice is provided, in every stage in the preparation of the updated
comprehensive plan; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Liberty Board Supervisors wishes to offer all citizens, businesses, other
units of government, and other parties a range of opportunities to participate through the
planning process in a meaningful way to shape the future of the Town; now therefore be it.
RESOLVED, that the Town of Liberty Board Supervisors does hereby adopt the attached Public
Participation Plan for the updated Town of Liberty Comprehensive Plan 2025.
EFFECTIVE, this resolution shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage.
Adopted this 14th day of July 2025, by the Town Board of Supervisors of the Town of Liberty.
